Up late and up on the latest

Thanks to Johnny for turning me on to the fact that there is a War Robots Google+. There is a good deal of interesting tidbits to be seen here. Here are a couple of examples.

I can only assume this footage is new-ish. It certainly is new to me. How cool to see the new bots before they actually roll out. Interesting that we can see a bot "in the nude", so to speak. That would get annoying if your bot was glowing bright white all the time, ne?

This is an explanation of the Galahad's potential. The fellow who post's these videos is a great player and I will likely post more videos of his in time.

Why "North Central Positronics"?

It is the question nobody has asked. But, it is my style to answer such unspoken inquiries. So hold on to your shiny, metal asses.

The name comes from an entity within a book series written by Stephen King, known as "the Dark Tower". Lazily, I will use wikipedia to explain further:

North Central Positronics is a company specializing in the production of robots. It is owned by the Sombra Corporation and was a part of The Imperium thousands of years prior to the beginning of the events of The Dark Tower Series.

The addition of the word "positronics" by Stephen King is likely a reference to Isaac Asimov. Asimov's famous robots had positronic brains."

This collection is considered by King to be his magnum opus. I have gone through the series twice on audiobook and can attest to its greatness. For further details, cross your fingers and hope the movie(s) based on the books is/are going to start hitting theaters early 2017. Then our clan will be famous! No... Not really.

Blog Bot 1.0 welcomes you

Welcome to the blog. I appreciate you taking the time to view it. The main reason I decided to try and add a blog to the mix is simply to have a place to ask and answer questions. God knows the in-chat is not a delight to use.

Speaking of in-game chat, I would love to be able to have a chat while playing, but do not know of the best way to make it happen. Who has a suggestion for how this might be Accomplished? Even if it means opening skype on my laptop, I am down. Anyone else?

Lastly, take a look at this Positronic victory. Ok, it wasn't a complete team of us, but 4 is the highest I have experienced. Has anyone played with all six players being clan members?
